Broke Girls?

At first the title sounds like it's a show about broken girls.. Girls from broken family and stuffs. Look closer it's actually a comedy series. The show is about two girls, Max and Caroline who want to open a bakery but they need to raise $250k. Basically this show depicts their efforts in raising the money.

I watched the debut episode last night. Overall, pretty awesome. I love sarcasm and Kat Dennings(Max) portrayed her character beautifully. Slight distraction on her cleavage(I'm man, what to expect?), but once you get past that, Max's personality steals the thunder. Earl the black cashier provides some few hilarious one-liner.

Recommended for those who understand sarcasm fluently and those who can look past racist jokes. After all, this is a comedy series. Don't be too serious about it! Free you mind and laugh!

Survival Guide Studying in Universiti Malaysia Pahang(UMP), Pahang, Malaysia

This guide is intended for juniors who are going to study in UMP Gambang campus. As I rarely even go to the Pekan campus(to-be the main campus of UMP in 2013), so those who are going to Pekan campus, good luck!

Let's get started!

Why I write this?
- I'm a chemical engineering student(2nd year) in UMP and wished someone would have written similar guide before I enter UMP on my 1st day.

What is UMP?
UMP or Universiti Malaysia Pahang is a technical university that focuses on engineering field. Courses related to computer, project management, chemical, electrical and electronics, mechanical and mechatronic are offered here. It's formerly known as KUKTEM(Kolej Universiti Kujuruteraan dan Teknologi Malaysia or University College of Engineering and Technology Malaysia).

Location of UMP
Lebuhraya Tun Razak, 26300 Gambang, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur. If you're driving along the highway that passes Genting Sempah McD, kindly drive straight until you reach a junction on your left saying "UMP, turn left". Hahaha. I'm bad in memorising highway names. So sorry! But you can get a google map view on UMP official website.

Orientation week or MINDS week.
Based on my past experience and observation of the orientation week, it's super tiring. Hardly any sleep at all. Your day starts at 5-6am and ends at 12am or 1am. You will have to listen to plenty of talks, join lots of activities and tour the UMP. Well, I don't know the 2011 MINDS program, so couldn't give out any information. Rest assured, to those who are sceptical about ragging in UMP, it doesn't happen at all. Kindly let UMP know if such thing happens to you. This is a very serious matter.

Dress code in UMP
Officially, students are expected to wear formal clothes(long pants, long-sleeve shirts, shoes and student pass). Un-officially, you can get by just wearing casual formal clothes ( long pants, collared t-shirt, shoes and student pass(if there's any visible guards nearby) ) Well, you should follow the rules. hahahaha. You can be fined if the guards see you without your student pass. Ridiculous rules like no slippers allowed if you're going to the cafetaria or atm has been enforced for few days until it met a strong opposition from the students. No idea with the guards or the Safety Department. Just play safe for the 1st month in new semester :)

Important facilities in UMP for students.

-Washing machine (provided but you have to pay, works like public telephone, insert coins according to the machine timers, available in KK1, KK2, KK3 and KK4)
- Internet ( do bring your LAN cable and Router. But there will be people selling the Router/Port and LAN cable as well. If you can't wait for them, bring your own. You could also rely on the wireless connection of Streamyx Zone and TM Hotzone. For the wireless connection, the account is given free by UMP but new intake wouldn't have it as UMP register the students at TM every new year. Speed is like 512kps or 1Mps. To download movies/torrents use the wireless connection)
- ATM ( UMP has CIMB(1 cash deposit machine and 1 atm), Bank Islam( 2 atms), Maybank (1 atm) and Bank Muamalaf (1 atm).
- Groceries shop (Biggest is Ina shop located at KK1, smaller shops located at KK2 and KK4 as well)

Getting about around Kuantan/Gambang
- Car rental service is available. Their numbers can be found in Ecomm(UMP students website). Rental is around RM3.50 to RM6 depending on what kind of car you rent per hour. Cars available are Saga(new and old), Kancil, Viva and etc. This is a service provided by the students.
- Alternatively, you could take UMP bus on the weekend to Kuantan (RM2 and you have to purchase the ticket at Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar(MPP) office)

Kuantan
- East Coast Mall(Most happening place in Kuantan. LOL), Berjaya Megamall, Kompleks Teruntum, Telok Cempedak, The Store...

Gambang
- Food(halal and non-halal), Post Office, Photo shop and Hardware Shops.
- For those who want non-halal food, you can head over to Sedap Enak ( sells nice economic rice during lunch at RM4), Keong Fatt ( economic rice during lunch roughly RM4.50 or more expensive) or Lai Meng ( mee, porridge or roti bakar)
- In my personal opinion, I always go to Sedap Enak or Lai Meng or even the Gambang Curry House (Indian shop) for lunch. For dinner, I will frequent the dessert shop(located beside the tyre shop) or Gambang Curry House or Malay food. I don't go to Keong Fatt(expensive food and almost tasteless food) or Red Lantern ( forgot the real name, but it's decorated with lots of red lanterns. Not so clean, found flies in my food before). But, they could improve over time so don't take my words for it but I'm just lazy to visit them again. Sorry.
- Gambang Waterpark and Resort City (for those who want to work part time or have fun)

Cafeteria Food
- KK1 (Lousiest and the most expensive among all. Don't go here unless you're desperate. Hahahahaha. Unfortunately, those living in KK1 and KK3 have to buy from here. But there are mini stalls selling burgers and hot dogs.)
- KK2 ( The best of all! Cheap and delicious)
- KK4 (Not bad and there are few restaurants nearby as KK4 is situated outside UMP Gambang campus)
- There are also executive cafes for the staffs. Heard the food is not bad and the price is affordable as well. Kindly ask the seniors if you're interested in trying out there.
- Typical Malay food like Nasi Goreng Paprik, Pataya, Kampung, Cina and etc is provided at these cafeterias.

Transportation (Cars and Motorbike)
- Not allowed if you're 1st year (exempted if you are Direct Entry student, meaning you have studied Diploma in UMP)
- Motorbike is allowed for all due to policy change initiated by juniors in my junior year :)

Typical things sold during the Orientation Week ( in case you have forgotten to purchase them before you come)
- Bicycle
- Laptops and laptops accesories(printer, speaker, laptop cooler, ink)
- Household items (Pillow, pails, broom and etc)
- Snacks, bread, Milo and etc

Edit: KK1 and KK3 - Imagine an apartment like building. Each room could contain 4 or 2 people depending on the size. International students stay at KK1. KK3 is only for female students.

KK2 - Male students only hostel. Imagine single storey houses where there are 4 rooms that could fit 2 people each. It's like common housing area but without the gates. haha

KK4 - Almost same like KK1 and KK2 but each room could fit around 10 people if not mistaken. Most people hate going here because the internet there is lousy but due to its location located outside of UMP(5mins walk to UMP compound), there are few restaurants beside it. Good for those who intend to stay out late as. haha

KK5- Same like KK1 and KK3 but it's located in Pekan.

Short Semester

Today is Wesak Day, may all Buddhists out there be spreading the Buddhism virtues and values :) The world needs more love!

Blog seriously needs to be updated, hence a little update. Trying to make sure the updates are consistent and continuously. Anyway, now is my semester holiday. Taking short semester to improve my Thermodynamics and Engineering Mechanics results. Hopefully can get an A.

Moved in to new hostel today. The whole house was shitty except for the fans which were cleaned. That's the only positive thing of the house(my university provides houses as hostel). Spending time cleaning the toilet and my room in particular. Sighs, I feel like I almost have OCD, keep on insisting on cleanliness. Couldn't stand the horrible stench of smell. The smell where you could find in every typical guys' hostel rooms. SMELLY, Sweaty smell. Not pleasant. Wouldn't want to make you lose your appetite like the Rebecca Black's song by posting the pictures of the house. And my current phone taking picture ability has been quite a pain in the bottom, so I shall spare you and me the agony. Cheers!

Shall keep it short. Will try to bore anyone who is reading this tomorrow or soon! :)

p/s: I'm starting to miss the Subway sandwiches. Cravings in the middle of the night? Come on, you're better than that man. Sighs...

ABRSM Exam

Hari Raya holiday right now. Excited as can laze around doing nothing but demotivated because I've been lazing around. HAHA

So, on monday I took the ABRSM exam. It was a theory exam, grade 3(don't start laughing). No big deal, wasn't going to be serious about theory exam, I just want an official qualification. Went there early, 8.30am where the test supposed to start at 9am.

Upon arrival at the examination hall, small kids were at abundance. NOT GOOD. Went into the examination hall, those taking grade 3 were all small kids. ANOTHER NOT GOOD SIGN. Luckily, the Jabatan Pelajaran Selangor(JPS) didn't inform the chief examiner in time, so they didn't prepare table for me at the grade 3 area. Instead, I took the test around grade 8 area. WOOTS WOOTS. (Huge ego saved)

Took me around 1 hour 10minutes to complete the test. Double-checked to ensure no clumsy errors. During this period, I realised almost all grade 3 takers were gone. THOSE KIDS WERE GONE BEFORE ME...... T.T

*Ego just got crushed*

Oh well... at least I completed my test. I'm expecting distinction! :D

MASUM '10

I'm now in holidays at my home in Shah Alam, Selangor :) Decided to update my blog.

So few days ago, I was involved with MASUM 2010. MASUM is a national level sport festival which only involves the public universities in Malaysia. I got selected to represent UMP in the chess team.

Date : 23rd May to 30th May 2010

Venue : UPSI(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia), Negeri Sembilan

Event : Chess MASUM 2010.

UPSI IS SO BLOODY BIG!!! It's like UMP X10 >_<

I didn't take any pictures of UPSI but I did take pictures of our accommodation, UPSI temporary hostel.

So for Chess MASUM 2010, the event was for 5days where we played 8 rounds of chess. The end result was 5th placing out of 12 for UMP men and women teams. Hope we could get into medal placing next year!

Just took a cold bath. Feel so refreshing with this hot weather of the day. The day started rather unpleasant when I have to walk from my hostel to my class under the hot sun because my bicycle is broken. Sighs

So I think I have to write something... Actually there's a lot to be written about for this month. A lot of things happened but I'm just too lazy to write >_<

I will try really hard to recall what happened :)

That's all. HAHA. However, there's something to be added on, recently, there has been insects invasion on my room. These insects will appear after the rain. Really troublesome with all these insects. I count myself lucky that they don't bite nor their corpses emit any bad smell.

You can see where these insects come from since my hostel is just in front of mountains/forests

I just learn a new emotion ,^^o miao!

No Chocolates

I am having dizzyness while writing this entry. Hopefully, I won't faint when I'm finished.

I had engineering mechanics test today. Awesome test which my mind went blank for 40minutes for this 1hour test. Managed to recover and answer all the questions in 20minutes. Please let me get at least 10%/20%. To prove that I'm worth this marks... I show you the picture where I did my revision! *at least give marks for efforts la..*

This few days I was feeling lots of dizzyness. This dizzy symptom appears usually after I'm having my meal or walk under the hot sun. I thought I was being too tired, not enough sleep and etc. I didn't give much thoughts about it. But the symptom persisted for quite some time. So, I decided to see the doctor to find out...

Went to the clinic in UMP, the doctor said I have migraine and a little bit of high blood pressure. HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?! WTF T-T I'm too young for high blood pressure. So, he prescribed to me some medicines. Felt better after eating the medicine but seriously I feel so damn weak right now. This dizzy bout will come at any moment! >_<

Best of all.... the doctor said, no chocolates(WTF) and drink less milo. Apparently, chocolates are bad for migraine. Chocolates are like the miracle cure of all.....it can cure heartbreak, sadness and monday blues...but not migraine?! T-T

Best part was... I recently bought lots of chocolates so that I won't feel hungry in the middle of the night before I went to see the doctor due to my previous hunger bouts. What chocolates stock do I have right now?

HOW AM I GOING TO FINISH ALL OF THIS?????

NO. I'M NOT GIVING THEM AWAY... T-T

I decided to update my blog more regularly to earn some few bucks :)

Okay, I have been really hungry for the past 2 hours! Desperate pleads to my friends asking for edible food have been futile. Sadly yes. Anyway, let's see what they have offered which I politely rejected,

Fais - Only have Maggie Mee. That ***** fella, always come to my room and hijack my food but when I need some, he only has maggie mee! Okay, the reason I rejected him was because I don't eat Maggie Mee. I am somehow freaked out by the wax. Period.

Siew Ching - Offered me Chipsmore but I don't quite favor chipsmore at such hour

Jellydine - offered me lychee jelly which I think will make me thirsty but she offered me Nestle fitness cereal honey n almond... I am allergic to healthy food. So, I have to politely decline her wonderfully healthy offers.

Some might ask that why am I so pathetic that I don't have any food in my hostel room... I do have. I have one thing that I could eat to solve my hunger issue but there's problem. I forgot to figure that I don't have a bowl or cup when I bought this...

YES, THE SUPER DELICIOUS MOUTH WATERING VONO Instant Soup, Mushroom chicken flavor. OH MAN :( :( :(

OH GEEZ, I should get myself a bowl when I'm going out for groceries shopping again. I'm not so keen on the idea of borrowing bowl from others because you never really know what they use the bowl for. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW :D

I can't go out at such hours for such luxury like mamak stalls because we don't have mamak stalls anywhere nearby UMP, Gambang, Pahang area! YAAAAA, we live such in a secluded area that most shops close at 11pm. Plus, we have curfew at 12am so can't really go out. Can sneak out but if got caught........ somebody is going to get hurt real bad. HAHA

FestKUM 2009

Yesterday when I was paying for toll, I gave her 1cent coin instead of 10cent coin. How embarrassing but that was at 11.55pm at night and 1cent coin felt exactly like 10cent coin. NOT MY FAULT!

Haven't updated so long because was so busy with 2 major events which were Royals Debate and FestKUM. Today going to blog about FestKUM while debate next time la :p

FestKUM is a festival organised by the Cultural Council of Ministry of Higher Education which organised dances, poems and acoustic music competition in FestKUM 2009. The FestKUM was held in UKM, UPM, UM and UiTM Shah Alam where UPM(Universiti Putra Malaysia) played host for the opening ceremony, UM(Universiti Malaya) played host for the closing ceremony, UKM(Universiti Kebangsaaan Malaysia) played host for the dance and poem category I think and UiTM(Universiti Teknologi Mara) played host for the acoustic music category.

Entry to FestKUM was totally unexpected as I didn't attend the training at all and was a last minute call-up due to nobody available to play the percussion. So with only 3days of practise, I just went on stage and put up some performance of my life. I can't say mine was perfect though.

Nevertheless, it was a fun experience of having to get the opportunity to perform on a stage especially in a competition! We performed 2 songs which were How Do I live and Bossanova.

No idea who this drummer was but he is really good and had performed with famous local acts like Search, Wings and Ramli Sarip if I'm not mistaken =) Everyone was grabbing to take pictures with this dude. So, I took one too. Muahaha

ps: No idea who was the winner.. anyone could give a light about it? [I left the closing ceremony early]

Baskin Robbins Treat

Final examination is coming up in 5 more days. Wow, time flies really fast. I can't wait for the finals to be over! The sad thing was I lost RM100 today when I checked my pocket. WTF.

Yesterday was 31st October. You know only one thing when it's the 31st day of the month, 31% discount off Baskin Robbins hand-packed ice-cream!! So off we went to Baskin Robbins with a rental car, Kancil the faithful to the only place in Kuantan that has Baskin Robbins, the East Coast Mall. East Coast Mall is seriously like the Pavillion of Kuantan. That's why we homies like to hang out around here. Clean air, unlike Berjaya Megamall. Never like that place.

Before we went to cool East Coast Mall, we went to this Chinese coffee shop at Gambang to eat this Lembing Mee. It is like Wan Tan Mee but it tasted different from it. Our driver of the day was Chee Pheng. On the journey there, everytime she has to turn or park, she will accidentally press the honk. It is like telling everyone she is coming. HONK HOOONK

Arrived at East Coast Mall around 12pm. Thought I have to come early as it is always been a huge crowd during the 31st day of the month at Baskin Robbins. It turned out things work differently in Kuantan. There weren't any crowd at all ^_^

Let me tell you in Selangor and Penang that would be totally a different scene. We have to queue up and take numbers and wait for our numbers to be called. This makes me love Kuantan even more. Nobody cares about 31% discount off Baskin Robbins hand-packed ice cream. YAY!

In the half gallon container/box/package (not sure what it's called, hence I shall coin it as box), we had Mint With Chocolates, my favourite Pralines and one Jamaica Almonds Chocolate Fudge(??? not sure about the name). Today Baskin Robbins meal was extra extra special because someone treated me to half gallon of Baskin Robbins ice cream. WOOT WOOT

But we soon realised that finishing a half gallon of Baskin Robbins ice-cream in an hour wasn't easy although the ice cream tasted so good. You know how people only eat a lot if they have a worst break-up? She looked exactly like that. The half-gallon of ice cream was placed in front of her giving the impression that she's been eating it all. HAHAHA

I tell you, people who been passing by kept staring at her and the half gallon of ice-cream in disbelief. Couldn't stop laughing when we looked at these people facial expression.

It was an adventurous and a bumper car(would like to write about this but I know the driver is not going to be happy. hahaha) day!

PT (Pesta Tanglung or Lantern Festival) always seems foreign to me. I never participated in any PT organised by my school. This year participation was unexpected as I performed with the UMP Orchestra Group for the PT.

Our very own Lim Jo Ann composed a song specially for this year PT entitled '光辉 ' which could mean honours or achievement. My Chinese is really bad so I'm not so sure. But rest assured, it means something good though I don't know what it is. Haha

Practised the song for 4 days which was rather fun. I played the strings part for keyboard which was like an accompaniment for the piano. Anyway, here are those who performed

The Pesta Tanglung was quite good in my opinion though the crowd turnout was not as huge as I expected. Most of my friends couldn't come as it was raining that day. Damn you weather. Surprisingly, the food and drinks that were sold during the Pesta Tanglung were awesome. My RM10 well spent ^-^

Hyatt Hotel for Sultan Pahang

Just walked back under a very very very heavy thunderstorm. Never in my whole life I was feeling so afraid being electrocuted by thunder. It was incredible horrifying. However, my life wasn't given a flashback throughout the journey wtf.

With over a month practise with the UMP orchestra group(I wrote like I was the star performer where in fact I actually not), finally we will perform for a huge event. The event was dinner for the UMP Convocation 2009 which was graced by Pahang royalty, His Royal Highness Sultan of Pahang with Tengku Mahkota Pahang and lots of VVIP.

We performed 2 songs which were 'Getaran Jiwa' and 'Itulah Sayangku' by P. Ramlee. Oh well, to be honest, I did play few notes wrongly in both of the songs. But the whole experience was awesome! Not sure if I want to do it again :)

I was standing right beside the place where people gave speech. Yes, that's how close I was. They didn't provide keyboardists and guitarists and chairs to sit on. Hence, we ended up standing throughout the whole 20minutes speech as we were too close to the stage. It would be really inappropriate if we sat on the floor right? I almost couldn't feel my legs at the end of the 20minutes T-T

Near Taylors College

I went to eat Indian Banana Leaf Rice at Klang. This guy was trying to take the fork and spoon from my table. I handed him a set but he refused. That was when it struck me that, he thought my hands contained bacterias and viruses that will get him infected. Sighs T-T

Since coming back at Shah Alam from UMP a few days ago, my days have been filled with nothing. Didn't go out with friends and all. Life started to get pretty mundane. Prakash told me that there's this korean food named spicy chicken that I must try. He told me that this chicken is so spicy that I might wet my pants upon tasting it. Naturally, I felt my manhood is being challenged right there.

He came up with a dare. I couldn't drink any water or liquids after eating it. I said bring it on. The reward? Bragging rights and a meal of spicy chicken! These are good enough for me.

Off we went to the Korean Street Cafe near Taylors College. It is just right beside the Subway restaurant. There's barely any crowd there but they played some cool Korean music. Nice ambience.

I proceeded to order the spicy chicken. But the waiter couldn't stop himself telling me that the chicken is very very very very spicy. I insisted and the waiter sighed in defeat. LOL

It certainly looks very delicious in this picture. Actually, it's really delicious. ^_^

However, it is not spicy to me at all. HAHAHAHA. I was like really nervous thinking it will be so freaking hot and eat a small bite 1st. Must be safe than sorry, later if I wet my pants how? Turned out it was harmless. YAY!

Everyone with balls should try this. Prakash wouldn't even touch this thing. He said that the smell of the chili almost made him puke/headache/cry. Well, since he wouldn't try, you know he has no.... Anyway, it costed Prakash around RM5. If you have student ID, you will get a 20% discount, so roughly around RM4.20.

Next, Prakash took me to eat the famous dessert called, Snowflake Bestseller which is just opposite of FTZ.net. This happened after 3hours have passed since I was not allowed to drink any cooling liquids.

Prakash was seen posing at the entrance of the shop. Do you know that, if there's red lanterns hanging in front of a massage parlour shops, it means that there's 'extra' service provided? Extra in the sense of prostitution in case your mind went thinking of other stuffs. WTF. No wonder Prakash love this place. hehe

Emergency Update : Barbaric

Didn't update for so long because the Internet at my place was out for 2 weeks. Sad.

I did this emergency update because I'm damn pissed by the barbaric behaviors of some people at (Universiti Malaysia Pahang) UMP especially at KK2 cafe.

Case# 1

The roti canai guy helper sneezed and green mucus came out from his nose. DISGUSTING I KNOW. Then, he looked like he's going to just wipe it with his hand or with the sleeve of his shirts. WHAT THAT F*CK right? I gave him a long long stare and he probably got the message and went behind to wash his hands. FML

Case # 2

An old man used the cloth that being used to wipe plates to put food on to wipe a dirty table. Subsequently, he put the cloth back to its original place. DISGUSTED.

Case # 3 (TODAY!!!)

A dude was taking food at the cafe when he just started to sneeze. Sneezed for like 3-5 times but he never BOTHERED TO COVER HIS MOUTH OR NOSE. The great part was when he sneezed in front of the food. YES. IN FRONT OF THE FOOD. For this guy, I wish him to choke on his food slowly before someone gives him a Heimlich maneuver.

Well, I doubt so since to be a friend with this kind of retard, you have to lower yourself to his standard right? Probably they wouldn't know what's Heimlich maneuver. They would have thought it's some footballer move or tricks.

HAHAHA. Retards. Feel much better now.

ps: It's so hard to find place that practise good hygience nowadays. Sighs.

Do I have to patron expensive places so that I could enjoy good hygience practise?

psps: With these kind of people roaming around at UMP, do you seriously think H1N1 or any

diseases could be contained or prevented? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Last week I was back at Shah Alam due to H1N1 holiday at (Universiti Malaysia Pahang)UMP. We have 1 week off but this free holiday is going to be replaced somehow. Last night I had a discussion with Ernie on how UMP is going to replace this FREE holiday. All of our solutions don't seem to work perfectly.

Being at home was trully fun. Did lots of stuffs. When H1N1 gives you holiday and you didn't get infected, ABUSE IT!

Monday - Went Dota with Uncle Heng, Mun Foong, Wai Hong and Ronnie.

Thursday - Went to get STPM certificate and bought 1Malaysia ASB, Dota again with Uncle Heng and Ronnie

Friday - Went for movie with Cupcake at Jaya Jusco, Bukit Tinggi, Klang

This cupcake ah, told her that the next movie will be at 11.45pm and yet she still insisted on going all the way to JJ Bukit Tinggi to watch it. The movie ended at 1.45pm and she said

"Quick go back, I got curfew!" She said, do first then regret later. -__-

We watched the movie "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" which was quite good. Good movie that preaches to all us to get into a meaningful and spooning relationship. For those who are curious about spooning, it's a position where you hugged your partner at the back when you're sleeping. Let me post a picture to make it easier for you to understand.

Yes, spooning is actually cute and we all should do it =D

So, if you don't spoon, you will end up alone and lonely. Worst of all, nobody will come to your funeral except for your close family. In the end, you could only spoon with your blown-up dolls or teddy bears. Get spooning now! Woot!

Saturday -Went to Secret Recipe with Puff. You can read her entry on this. I got her a suprise by buying her a pink rose with a blueberry cake from Secret Recipe. All I got in the end was she pinching me at the arms for countless time. IT HURT LIKE HELL. Puff, when people give you flowers especially roses, you should say thank you by planting kisses on that person's cheeks. Both cheeks! Not by pinching them on their arms!

At Saturday night, went all the way to Setia Alam with Prakash to see Hippo Mama. She refused to let me into her house even when I used the lamest trick in the book,

"I need to use the toilet urgently..."

which she replied

"There." pointing to the direction of a tree

This sums up my H1N1 holiday at Shah Alam. I think I was enjoying myself the whole time and neglected my assignments. Oh well, what's a holiday if you are still working right?

Just back from Shah Alam, Selangor. Now I'm at UMP, Pahang. The taxi ride from Kuantan Aiport to UMP cost RM35. I'm going to rent a car next time.

Does writing Mini Update as MU make me a Manchester United fan? I hope not. 1st time taking aeroplane in many years. Couldn't really say I enjoy the whole experience because I have dizzyness thanks slightly to this baby who couldn't stop crying and his/her caretaker who kept coughing and coughing. Dear, please wear a mask at least for the sake of other's comfort! You are making me very very uncomfortable due to H1N1 case. Not to mention that you are endangering the baby as well =(

In a very unexpected circumstances, I met Aliff Aziz at the Kuantan airport! I was like.. that dude looked so similar. Have I met him somewhere?

(he wore the exact same outfit except his belt was black this time)

OH YA! He's the one who performed during the Lenka's showcase at One Utama few days back! I went to him and striked up a very awkward conversation.

Me : "Excuse me, are you aliff aizat?"

Aliff : *looked a bit blur*

Me : *fck, I said his name wrong* "I saw you performing at the Lenka's showcase that day."

LOL. Why do I have to end up like this everytime?

Lenka in One Utama

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle, life is a maze and love is a riddle...

I bet this song must has been playing in everyone's head lately because it has been chosen as the catchy theme song for TM commercial.

So, yesterday, I went all the way to One Utama to meet her! Her showcase is totally different from other showcases I've been before, eg, Click Five and Good Charlotte.

There was this Streamyx people who persuaded us to sign up for their wifi broadband plan! So I did to get the Lenka's showcase priority pass. By signing up, I get to earn money by going inside this chamber.

With my lousy reflexes, I only managed to get RM17.50. Lame, yes I know. The Streamyx guy kept telling me people won RM200, RM150, RM100 in that chamber but all I could get was RM17.50. Reality hurts. But, at least, I could buy myself dinner at SS2 Murni after Lenka's showcase!

We actually got people to entertain us when we were waiting for Lenka to arrive. Phat Babe and Ben were the emcee of the day. They look exactly the same like in the Flyfm poster. I know, some people tend to say people look much better in real life than in pictures. Oh well.

This is Aliff Aziz and he is good looking. Yes, he can sing too. =D

Aliff Aizat and Amy Mastura were the guest performer. It's been so long since I saw Amy performed! Phat Babes and Ben were funny as usual with their funky attics.

This is Amy Mastura. She really interacted with the crowds a lot! She even invited some to come on stage to sing with her although they seemed not to know the song lyric... A bit tad disappointed but it's okay.

Phat Babes asked this girl to perform a pole dance to this 'weight-challenged' man. Awkward but funny!

When Lenka arrived, there was this girl behind me who kept saying

'OMIGOSH, she is so beautiful/pretty. Look at her"

This sentence kept on repeating for a good 1 minutes. Felt like almost slapping her already. Yes, she's so beautiful but.... Do you have to say it over and over again for 1 minute?

*it's totally different if she was talking about me.. she is allowed to go on forever though.*

Lenka performed to us about 4 songs. She was so cheerful and happy on the stage, just like most of her songs. Bringing us happy and laid-back feelings. It's truly a joy to watch her perform on stage. No worries =D

Next is the autograph session! Pretty quick as I'm at the back of the line. Thanks to the security guard who kept on shoving people to move faster. I was afraid to ask for a picture with Lenka as the security guard might just asssault me like in those rugby game. Hahaha.

I just feel happy singing her songs. It's like some mantra that has calming effect on us. Go Lenka!

Tribute to Yasmin Ahmad

I woke up today reading thestar online only to realise, our very own award winning film director Yasmin Ahmad just passed away. This is a tribute to her.

I first came to know this name Yasmin Ahmad from a film that she made, Sepet. It's about the love story between a Chinese boy and a Malay girl. This story captured the essence of racial harmony in Malaysia. The story was very touching because the challenges that Orkid and Jason(the main characters) have to face as love between different race was still discouraged in Malaysia.

I had the opportunity to meet Yasmin Ahmad when I was working at KLUE. It was at this art forum at the Annexe Gallery, Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur on 1st March 2009. She was giving a talk on filmmaking.

She was a great person. She told us about her humble upbringing. I remembered she telling us on having a great life. Then only you can have a good and interesting story to tell to the world. You can't just spend you whole day thinking of creating a great script without actually having a great life.

She was inspiring and humble. She didn't have the arrogance of a famous film director. She talked to us like we were her children. There was this instance when this guy who was new to indie filmmaking asked Yasmin,

Guy :"Yasmin, I'm new to filmmaking. Where can I start?"

Yasmin : " Dear, just start with anything. Use your handphones or digital camera to record your film. Start with short films. Don't expect Finas(Malaysian National Film Development Corporation) to provide any opportunity. You, yourself have to create the opportunity. Remember, a good story is a must in filmmaking."

*Couldn't remember the exact words exchanged during the Q&A session due to this meeting took place during March 2009*

Before Yasmin left, she gave the guy her name card. The audience was surprised. Yasmin broke all formality and barrier by giving her name card to help this guy out on his journey to filmmaking.

Yasmind Ahmad, you will be missed. The wonderful, beautiful movies and touching Petronas commercials that you make left its footprints deep inside our heart. Yasmin Ahmad, I miss you =(

Mini Update : Naughty Cat

The washing machines at UMP are back into operations again. The technicians pimped them up again to service few hundred men. WOOHOO. No more washing clothes by hands :)

Took this picture when I was at the debate camp last week. This cat just wouldn't give up on the kite! Marrissa told me "why the cat only chose this particular kite? It must be a naughty cat!"

HAHAHAHA.

*if you didn't notice it, the kite has the drawing of a mermaid on it indicating it is horny/naughty.

By the way, I had the opportunity to read this essay written by Amanda Chong Wei-Zhen which was entitled 'What The Modern Woman Wants" which won the annual Commonwealth Essay Competition in 2008 if I'm not mistaken. It was awesome! You can read Amanda's essay here

Debate Camp

After extensive abuse of the washing machine, the washing machine finally went suicidal and stopped providing its service to a few hundred men. Sighs. Good thing has to come to an end anyway.

I was away for the debate camp on the weekend. It was nice to have a debate camp at a beach which was at Pantai Balok, Kuantan, Pahang. Let me show you how beautiful the beach was!

The scenery got even more beautiful when it approached sunset... Too bad I was too occupied with debating till I forgot to appreciate the beautiful sunset. Aargh. Sometimes, you could just sit on d soft sand whole day looking at the calm sea with cold breeze of wind blowing against your face. Estastic and orgasmic! Almost make you like want to make the beach your permanent home. Okay, if I'm rich enough, I'm gonna buy a whole island for myself like Sir Richard Branson. LOL.

Drifted way too far, back to the debate camp. 1st we separated ourselves into groups, Malay, English and Arabic. Then we sit in a group of circle and introduced ourself like in some group support session.

Hi, I'm James. I'm from Malaysia. I have experience/no experience in debating.

Then everyone would go... Hi James....

LOL WTF.

The seniors was discussing on what topic they should give us to debate on.

We have few mock debates and the seniors adviced us on how to improve our debating skills. I certainly to improve my elaboration. Gotta speak more instead of being a one-liner. Arhh, for someone who is used to being sarcastic...

Sarcasm only works in one-liner. You can't elaborate on sarcasm or it will lose its charms. Sighs. Talk talk talk more Xian Fu!

Oh. I was just recovering from a bad cough and I aggravated it by drinking cold syrup water.

T-T

Apparently, after I drank the cold syrup water only I realised that I just recovered from a bad cough. Oh well. . . and now I'm stuck with coughing.

AND WHY THERE WERE PEOPLE SELLING ICE-CREAMS AND FRUITS!

I can't eat ice-cream or fruits because I have coughs! *cry in despair*

and I had to sit back and look at the seniors chasing after the ice-cream man for ice creams! LOL. The seniors would literally run and shouting at the ice cream to stop. Things people will do to get icy cold sugars in their bloodstream. :D

Washing Woe

Going to leave for a 2 days 1 night debate camp tomorrow. Hope I can improve my fluency in debating by then. hehe :)

On wednesday, I registered for clubs and society. I joined the chess club, orator(aka debate) club, Janpu(aka Japanese club) and Orchestra club. Joined 4 clubs, I think I could pretty handle the activities. Probably I will drop orchestra club since there's a lot of piano/keyboard players around. I wouldn't have time to practise anyway. We will see. Haha.

Yip told me that Janpu is organising a trip to Japan at the end of the year with the cost estimated at minimun RM5K(USD 1.3K) inclusive of 8days 6nights trip... Not sure whether people could afford that exhorbitant cost. Maybe..maybe... JANPU is securing some sponsorhip from somewhere or someone... Hopefully I'm included in their list of 'people to be sponsored'.. MUAHAHAHA.

Wanted to wash my clothes this afternoon but the washing machine was occupied. T-T

The weather was kind and hot. Perfect for drying my clothes but people been using the washing machines whole day.

Came back at every 2 hours and yet the washing machine was still occupied. Bloody hell.

Finally, at 12am, it's my turn... wtf

2 people told me that almost all of the washing machine at our hostel were broken down. wtf.

They have to come to the washing machine located at my house to wash their dirty undies.

1st, they said UMP has infrequent water flow

now we at UMP have washing machine breakdown woe.

Getting Sick

My 9th Day at UMP. Barely alive.

After my outing to the Berjaya Megamall, I fell sick again. My blog is now filled with

posts on how me keep getting sick. Boring. Sighs.

Probably I got sick from the snooker centre I went at Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan, Pahang.

The air was filled with smokes from fags. Totally a biohazard territory for those who have

weak lungs or asthma.

Been coughing non-stop for 3 days now. So, I decided to see the doctor at my university

clinic. I thought I have to wait like hours due to inefficiency of govenment-run clinic.

I was terribly wrong. Waited for 10mins and it's my turn already.

Coughed few times in front of the female doctor. She dully reminded me that I should

close my mouth. Oops. Sorry! But there's like hundrends of UMP students who don't

close their mouth when they are coughing. Geez. I'm walking in air filled with

germs, dusts, virus and etc. Gulps!

The female doctor decided that in order to curb the population of UMP students that's

down with coughs, she gave me a bottle of poison.

Apparently, I'm not worth saving or it will cost millions to save me. T-T

Nah, I was just kidding. The poison is a mouthwash or gargle for oral hygience and

to soothe sore throat.

Felt uncomfortable during my whole day at university today though Maths was a huge brain kicker. Complex numbers. I was kinda slow in calculating some easy equation. Brain, those vacations you took must have made you a little too comfortable already.

UMP orientation week

The dreaded orientation week! It sends shiver down my spine when I hear about orientation week. It could only mean 1 thing, ragging by the seniors. Asking us to do silly stuffs. For that, I'm glad that my orientation week or also known as Minggu Induksi Siswa(MINDS) here at Universiti Malaysia Pahang is quite enjoyable. Mainly, it's because that there's no ragging here. Woot Woot.

Not gonna talk what I have to endure during the whole orientation week. But I'm going to post about this community project that I participated during the orientation week. I volunteered myself for mural painting where myself couldn't paint or draw. hahaha.

Currently at online at the library of Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Speed is AWESOME. But I much prefer to online at my hostel but my hostel doesn't have Internet and I have to go to my neighbour's hostel to online.

The people here are very nice. Initially, I didn't bother to make any friends at all. I did make some few attempts starting with

Me : Hi, I'm Fu. What's your name?
Unlucky stranger : I'm XXXX. Where are you from?
Me : Selangor, Shah Alam. U?
Unlucky stranger : XXXX.

*tuuuttt. awkward silence*

Did this conversation with few UNLUCKY STRANGERS. At the end, I totally abandon any attempts to make friends. So, I ended up alone. Pretty lonely in the corner sitting, eating and sleeping alone. hahahaha. Fun isn't it for a single life?

HECK NO. You got green-eyed when you saw people walking in groups. Hate that feelings. Anyway, I started to make more friends already. Numbers keep on increasing. Thanks to this awesome game I play, D.O.T.A.

University Malaysia Pahang n Puff's cookies

I'm going to Universiti Malaysia Pahang(UMP) tomorrow for my course Chemical Engineering(Biotechnology). It sounds like a wonderful beginning.

Puff baked me some cookies! Chocolote cookies for me to eat before I leave for Pahang.

Isn't it wonderful? Something really embarassing happened at Puff's house. Her aunty was coming down from upstairs. When I saw her...

I blurted out..

Toy Museum, Penang

Everyone gets different level of honesty :D

Took like countless pictures at Toy Museum, Tanjung Bunga, Penang on my Penang trip that I decided it's better to make it into a entire post of it own rather than cramp it into my Penang trip and making my Penang trip post into a mini novel.

There's a lot of toys in the museum. You can practically see every toys here... Too bad I'm not a toy person, I'm more to gadgets person. Figurines and models really don't excite me like a new phone. :D

No toy museum will be complete without toys from the Toy Story movie! My favourite movie ever!

Is it just me or those dolls look creepy? I never like these kind of dolls. They creep me out. Probably because my uncle fed me with movies of...

CHUCKY when I was small. -___-

There's this corner I will call as 'hentai' studio where the models are all dresssed up suggestively. This is the closest thing you could get as opposed to a real blow up doll. We try to keep the museum safe from getting 18 only rating here.

Of course, a museum is never a museum till it has its own curse. Though not eerie or horrifying but a boy once fractured his arms there. The Curse of the Toy Museum as opposed to the Tutankhamun's Curse?

Nevermind. This curse could be avoided with single charm. Just say, "I will behave" 3 times and you will be fine.

Now you see why the "I will behave" charm will work? ^_^

I went to Jusco BBK(Bandar Bukit Raja) to watch Terminator : Salvation

Explosions! Roborts! Wars!

These alone enough to satisfy a man movie needs. Definetely much better than the Terminator : Rise of the Machine. Kristanna Loken is HOT but that didn't save the movie from being a disaster. Sighs. Sex doesn't sell much nowadays at least in movies.

The movie is good probably because... Arnold Schaxxxxxxxx isn't in the movie but Christian Bale is in it. Unfortunately, Mr Arnold did make a cameo appearance in the movie in N-U-D-E

YES. His acting skill still remains the same for the loyal fans out there. ROBOTIC

However, to remain politically correct, I think Arnold was digitised in the movie...so, does that still qualify as a cameo appearance? -___-""

My family and I went to Osaka for dinner although we initially agreed to eat Pizzas.

Took like few pictures so that I can make Puff jealous. She has been complaining that I haven't feed her for so long and this is ruining her chance of ever achieving her dream sumo size. This is green bean. Not my type but my dad, bro and sis love it. You eat it by sucking out the beans. It's almost tasteless but slightly salty.

Had around 20 cups of greentea. I'm a huge sucker for greentea. Weird that I didn't go to toilet after the meal. I must have superior bladder strength. ^__^

One thing I don't like much was that people are actually allowed to smoke in the air-conditioned restaurant. Freaking WTF U BXSTARD. FML

Rotting at home doing nothing. Geez

I was bitten by the chocolate bug last week. Saw this Cadbury warehouse clearance sale at

Centro Mall and decided to splurge my money in it.

Can't even take a decent picture since everyone kept taking the chocolates away. Patient is a virtue. T_T

Brought myself with only RM7, I managed to buy chocolates worth RM42. Not bad huh.

Thanks God I brought my sister with me who luckily brought her ATM card with her.

Reality update : Too much chocolates make me feel fat. Really fat though I feel happy when tiny bits of chocolates flow in my bloodstream -___- ''

My sister bf bought her 18 cupcakes from Cupcake Chic, The Curve. RM4.50 each I think,

in case someone wants to ask the price. The cupcakes were somehow okay. Can eat la. hahaha. I dislike the peanut butter one very much. That's the only cupcake I won't eat again.

Look at those colours! They are so beautiful to be eaten. How could we not put on weight with all these cupcakes inside our stomach...

Someone in my family celebrated her birthday!

My sister celebrated her 18th birthday on Monday. My family took her to Osaka restaurant to

have a Japanese dinner. She is a huge sucker for Japanese food. -__-

Ordered this dish called Black Dragon which was 6 sushis with Unangi slice on it.

Later at around 3.30am in the morning, my sister told me that her pet fish, Amber(because her tails are reddish in color) dropped into the toilet bowl. -___-

She asked me to scoop the fish out from the toilet bowl. I asked her to scoop the fish herself... Toilet bowl le wtf.

If my handphone dropped into the toilet bowl, I also will have doubts whether I will retrieve it back or just buy a new one.

(who am I kidding with, of course I will put my hand into the toilet bowl

and scoop my handphone out la, handphones are not cheap nowadays T_T)

Talking about handphones fallen into toilet bowl, I have this friend, SY who dropped hers on her trip to Malacca. She did put her hand into the toilet bowl(mind you, it's a public toilet), but somehow she failed to retrieve it back.

WOW. Talk about stuffs we are willing do for our handphones! =D

After a long 15 minutes, the fish swam further in, thus rendering my sister lost her pet fish a day after her birthday. She did try to lure the fish back by throwing some fish food into the toilet bowl.

MISSION FAILED.

I think Amber wanted to have its own freedom. Who wants to be stuck in a small container forever? Fishes belong to the sea!

Kuala Selangor Trip

Should have updated this post long time ago. GK also did a post about our Kuala Selangor(KS) trip on 24th April 2009. Check it out here.

On the 24th April 2009, Uncle Heng and I were at Kuala Selangor visiting GK. I personally viewed it as a vacation. I needed vacation! So off we went to Kuala Selangor by bus.

GK took us to eat steamboat for dinner. Woohooo! I like steamboat! The dining setting was like Japanese's. There's no chairs at all, just tables. A cost saving measure perhaps? But sure it did attract me to eat there. Too bad there's no sushis.

The place was windy, good enough for some hot, spicy tom yam steamboat. Muahaha.

We had this fried chicken in mangoes gravy for our appertiser. Yummy!

Uncle Heng was saying NO to Gk for trying to take his food. Oh man you two, sharing is caring! Give some to GK la Uncle.

Uncle Heng reluctantly gave some to GK. GK was happy as he finally could eat steamboat. Everyone was happy. HAHAHAHA

Later at the night, GK introduced to me this amazing book, 'Outlier' by Malcolm Gladwell. He explored the realm on what makes a person genius or being ahead of the game. Few examples given were like Bill Joy, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. All of them is major players in the IT industry.

Believe it or not, people who were born in early of the year has stastistical advantage on being top of the game compared to those who were born in later of the year especially in sports where physical maturity often plays a major role in one's advacenment. This post will be too lengthy if I include my own opinion regarding to the book. Enough of the book, but I highly recommend you getting the book. A good read nevertheless. I myself finished the whole book in 1 night.

The next day. . .

The next day, we had laksa for lunch. Apparently, in Kuala Selangor, beehon with curry is called laksa. In my place like Penang or Shah Alam, it's called simply as Mee/Beehon Curry. Laksa is totally different food.

For dinner we went to eat seafood. =)

And midnight..... we went beer drinking(My blog is seriously becoming non-halal)!!!

I had the Tuborg Beer, Uncle Heng had Carlsberg while GK had the Guinness. We had some beer drinking session on the top of GK's house.

FML weekend

The weekend has been a FML(Fuck My Life) period. Things will get better(trying hard to be positive)

Saturday.

I went for a job interview but it turned out the company was close due to Labour Day. I asked the guy who told me to go for an interview and he said "My manager gave me the wrong information". FML

Later, I was at Mid Valley buying a bottle of mineral water. I was at the express counter behind this Bangladesh/Pakistan man. 3 persons behind me have paid their groceries at other express counter. Seeing that I was not in hurry, I decided to wait behind the B/P man. Later, when it was the B/P man's turn to pay for his groceries, he just walked away. This is because the cashier said "Cash Only". I have to wait for the cashier to un-register each items that the B/P man intended to buy. FML

Sunday.

I went shopping with cupcake at Sunway Pyramid because she has RM200 Bonita voucher. But, the Bonita people never seen the voucher before and we waited for an hour for them to confirm whether the voucher was authentic. They decided that they can't accept the voucher as Sunway Pyramid nor Bonita has given them any memo regarding the voucher. FML

As night came, we went to Murni SS2 PJ to have our dinner. But the dinner crowd was HUGE and cupcake's HUGE BUTTS HAVE NO PLACE TO SIT ON. So, we went to Mong Kok Char Chang Ting instead. Cupcake said "Air-conditioned place and cushioned seats, you like what."

Apparently, the food SUCKED BIG TIME. The cream soup was watery and tasted like shit. I spent 3 hours anticipating dinner for crappy food. FML

Monday,

I went for the interview again. I think I screwed up the interview process.

Interviewer : You can call me "An- nen"
Me : (Dude, your name really is Helen?! I must have heard wrong) Pardon me?
Interviewer : An-nen
Me : Helen?

(The interviewer face expression immediately changed)

Went for a job interview and got my interviewer name pronounced as Helen instead of Kenneth. FML.

Today, I received an IMPORTANT email apparently from CIMB. It claims that I have a critical problem with my account.

The funny thing was, I don't have any CIMB bank account. HAHAHAHA(got you in the nuts scammer!)

There's lots of scam cases happening around lately. I wonder how many people have fallen to them. Sighs.

I checked my email today and RapidKL has replied my complaint. It took them less than a week.

RapidKL Driver MO

Just came back from Kuala Selangor. Tired. Exhausted but fun.

I want to blog about my bad experience with RapidKL drivers. I'm sure those who take RapidKL frequently have bad experience with them.

There was this Indian RapidKL bus driver who was on the bus T601 plying the route of Shah Alam to Klang. He is a bus driver who cheats.

Let me explain to you his MO (Modus Operandi)

First, he will take your money instead of you depositing the money inside the money collection box. He CLOSED the money collection box. So you gave him the money without suspecting anything. After all, there might be some mechanical fault to the money collection box.

Then, if you are new to RapidKL bus and didn't know the fees and just give him a big note, let's say rm5 he will return to you rm3 or something. Later, he will CONVENIENTLY forget to give you a ticket. By doing this, he could reap in at least rm30 a day.Not bad for a side income eh?

I was on the bus that time. Sitting just opposite the RapidKL bus driver, enough to uncover his deceit ploy. There was this uncle who gave rm5 for 2 person. The bus driver only returned the uncle rm1 but he did a huge mistake! He gave the uncle 2 tickets. The uncle saw the ticket which clearly stated that the ticket only costed rm1 each. He proceeded and asked for clarification from the bus driver. The bus driver retailiated saying that bla bla bla bla bla bla (crappy bullshits) and gave him his rm3 back.

After that, there were this 3 Indonesian workers who gave him the money but didn't get a ticket instead. There was this guy who asked about it and the bus driver just ignored him. That guy gave up.I learned a lesson in my experience in taking RapidKL buses. Never argue with the driver, he will just ask you to get down. Dropping you off somewhere and there you off. Someone should complain toRapidKL customer service, but will they take any actions? I seriously doubt it.

Plus, I cringe when I thought what if RapidKL complaint department wanted proof(common sense will tell you that)? Pictures? Witnesses? Oh crap. How am I supposed to take any pictures? Most people don't even bother to be your witness, they will just move on with their life. A bad day for them. That's all.

I shudder that we have to suffer in silence. This actually happened when I was U80 bus at Pasar Seni bus stop. The bus driver asked the 2 Bangladesh workers to get down from the bus rudely eventhough they showed him their tickets. Little Napoleons? Yes.

If you're not happy, get down from the bus la. (This line sounds utterly familiar)

Some might say, this is all only your claims, where is your proof? I have only my eyes, my judgment and my words. With this kind of drivers at RapidKL,I wonder, how will RapidKL improve our poor and detriorating public transport system? How long will this take? I will start the ball rolling by writing a complaint letter to RapidKL people. Let's see what they have to say or respond. I hope it will be positive.

Was intended to go to The Laundry Bar, The Curve today for KLUE's Popcorn n Soda event. But, cancelled it due to unforeseen circumtances. lol. Hopefully I could register my attendance the next month.

I was at Mcdonalds Section 3, Shah Alam yesterday with Syazwan. He was there to give me a brief look on C++. C++ is like a computer language for those who don't know.I pick up C++ because I'm a little bit bored at home, so I want to occupy myself with some things to do or I will be bored to death. I get bored easily.

When we started the lesson, Syazwan keyed in some input to the software Codeblock. After numerous attempts, the error messages kept popping up.He got frustrated saying that this is the most basic instruction and did I install the programme properly.

I have no idea and I let him ranted. Then, after viewing some of the samples provided, he realised he forgot to key in " ( ) ".

SWT. Can you see how noob was him. hahahhaha *roll eyes*

Anyway, we manage to create some very very simple programme. Doing some calculating and stuffs. I want to create this programme that could interpret Caesar's Code.

I'm currently addicted to Solitaire on my iPod. I never thought Solitaire could be so addictive. Help.

My last post was a mistake. I clicked 'Publish' before I even write anything. I was lazy to delete the post so I'm going to leave it like that. hehe

Yesterday I was out the whole day with Cupcake at One Utama, PJ. As a shopalcholic bitch, she asked me where were we now. . .

I said

Me : "Mid Valley la, you don't know meh?
She : "Ohhh, you said want to go to One Utama what?"
Me : "Nah, I changed my mind"
She : "Okay."

She really did believe we were in Mid Valley until she saw a HUGE SIGN "Welcome to One Utama"

ROTFLMAO.

Movie was next!

I chose Friday the 13th because it looked so freaking shit horror. The movie was quite scary in my humble opinion but cupcake thought it was lame+boring+same storyline.

We went for some shopping after the movie. The 1st shop we entered was the Bonita shop.

She was happily shopping around till I looked at this odd stuffs. I asked her,

Me : "What the cake, it looks more like a ribbon to me wei"

I went to ask the Bonita image consultant(super fancy name for a shop assistant, lol) what it's, he said "a string for necklace or bracelet". I gave cupcake a super swt look.

The funniest thing was when cupcake asked the image consultant on how to wear a scarf. He was super uber gay when he demonstrated on how to wear it. He's like this metrosexual guy who has long hair and has slight feminine characteristic. How could I not laugh? I'm mean bxstard I know.

We both looked damn retarded in this picture. We were in the swimsuit section and decided to take pictures in front of the changing room.

For dinner, we went to U-Yen Japanese Restaurant at Centre Point, Bandar Utama for their Japanese Buffet. Read about the review at KY's blog before. So, I gave it a try. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. Most of the food was okay except for the chinese food. The chinese chicken was too salty. Unangi was nice to me but cupcake said it was too sweet.

The tempura and terrayaki were okay okay la. Sushis were great. I didn't try any salmon because I hate raw salmon. Yes, I just said it out loud, who likes salmon anyway? (Saying this, my salmon loving friends are so going to kill me)

The dinner was quite worth it :) I had fun that day cupcake. I laughed whole day by those silly remarks she made. Do it again?

currently at Sunway Pyramid trying out their wifi connection. Can't connect to Internet but I'm a lucky Joe! There's like lots of free wifi network around. The best is at Wong Kok Char Chang Ting restaurant beside Starbucks Coffee. Maybe I'm a noob but that's the only wifi connection that could connect to Internet with Puff's iPod Touch. Sighs. The connection speed is good considering it's free. LOL.

Blogging using the iPod Touch is indeed tiring. Almost panting for air with having to type out each letter individually. Probably I just have a weak stamina. I should do some finger workout. The crowd traffic is awesome. Not many people unlike during the Seventeen Beach Party. Sunway Pyramid was thronged with people. Bad news for those who have claustrophobic. Literally, you could die from suffocation. Not that I'm complaining since there was lots of gorgeous ladies walking around on their beachwear.

No More P

I can't believe I ordered Iced Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks AGAIN yesterday. It was not my taste at all and I ordered it before. Geez. Why am I a sucker for such fancy name?

Every kids wants to drive. I'm not such a keen driver myself having experiencing driving people around or doing some errands. People make you their drivers. I'm like their 'Ahmad'.

But, without a valid car driving license, you will face lots of problems getting to your destinations. You have to depend on public transportation which is getting not so reliable nowadays. I try to contribute to Mother Earth by taking public transportation whenever I go to Mid Valley or KLCC. (Still got bitten by the Earth Hour bug)

Today, my P car driving license has expired. Good thing. I can finally drive without the P stickers stick to the car dashboard. Driving with the P sticker sometimes could prove frustrating. People naturally think that you can't driving well. Flash you their headlights or tailgate you.

Okays. here are some guide to those whose P license has expired and wanted to change it to CDL.

1.Go to any JPJ offices( Post office won't work. I went to the post office today and waited for 2 hours only to be told only JPJ offices can change my P license to CDL)

2. Bring 1 passport size photograph.

3. Pay RM30 for 1 year validity. (You could renew it up to 5 years)

4. Wait 3minutes for your license to get ready.

5. Get rid/burn/tear of your P stickers

Now I can drive any cars without the P stickers. Woohoo.

After some few depressing post, it's time for some happy stuffs. *dancing to Happy Tree Friends tune*

Jasmine sent me a card recently in the previous post which is really sweet and made my day. So I sent her a card back. :D

How did I meet Jasmine? It was 2 years ago at Yahoo Answers where I answered a question on "How many languages can you speak?(It's around 4)". She pm-ed me and that's how it's started. We still keep in touch till now. Amazing huh. (Personal note to my DD, how come you never send me cards! I knew you like for 3-4 years! That's it! No ruums for you)

She's half Japanese so I wrote a letter in Japanese for her with the help from my friend Minty who is a primary school teacher at Japan. Thanks mate!

1st time writing in Japanese. Practised like countless of times just to make sure my handwriting looks good. It does help that some characters are exactly same as the Chinese characters.

She's just told me that she received it at Hawaii this morning. Here is the picture she took for me.

Argue

I just did an argument with my friend. It started with me saying how someone stole my stuff in online world. He proceeded to say that the world is selfish and who is fast then who will get it.

This irritated me a lot as he is trying to say that it's my fault that my stuff got stolen. Allow me to explain the whole stolen incident. It's in a Dota public game and my ally took my item that's located at my ring and didn't return it back when I asked for it. Generally, this constitutes as stealing.

He told me (directly quoted) that "everything is not fair man, in this world and even in dota, who is fast then he will get, u had to be selfish, this also you don't know NOOB ". Then he said that 'the world is changing, if we didn't change, we will be left out'. After that, he said, I should not be fuzzy or let it gets over me because it happened in pixel world and I didn't incur any losses(it's true anyway).

Can you see what I'm seeing now? He is condemning me in order to make me feel better. WOW. Is that a new psychology method?

I am seriously not amused especially when my friend here did agree later that this guy who stole my stuff is wrong(this happened later when I ask him a direct question whether he thinks it's not wrong to steal my stuffs in pixel world).

This is making me even more agitated because if he didn't agree to that, why did he make a remark about the world is selfish and indirectly justifies what the guy did?

I am seriously puzzled. Later, my friend told me that he was kidding/teasing with me. This made me very flabbergasted.

Is it just me being overreacting to his comment? I don't know.

Guide: Becoming Dota Host

I wrote this post because of my frustration when playing Dota public game all this while. Hence, I will write a post about

HOW TO BE A GOOD (NOT NOOB) DOTA HOST

1)When you have a full game(meaning all 10 people in your game already) and suddenly there's this dude asking

"Host, can give me 1 slot? I got 1 friend."

A pro host will straight away kick that fella provided that he knows really well that kicking him will be much faster and effective comparing to kicking more people to wait for his friend to come into the game.

In some games, I've seen some NOOB hosts kicked at least 4 POTENTIAL players to accommodate the request. A waste of time.

2)Taking other's items
Never ever take people items at their ring. Some noob players or hosts will take their allies items. This is seriously annoying because that's not their items but they will still take it anyway. I played a game today where the NOOB HOST took my item on my ring. I was flabbergasted.

3)Leaving game when your side is losing
This is totally unacceptable. After all, this is just a public game. By leaving the game when you're losing not only make people lose respect to you but you deny others' chance to get exp for their level. In a good spirit, a good host will leave the opponent team to end the game first.

4)Hosting a lag game
If you have a high ping(bad internet connection), don't ever host a game. A good ping should be below 80. The whole game will be laggy. Players will start hurling bad words to you scolding you

"kns cb noob host"
"host using noob pc"

Definitely, nobody likes a lag game. It affects the playing mood. I know a lot of people who got killed just because of a laggy connection.

5)Tunneling players
As a non noob host, you should tunnel every players in your game to ensure a smooth game. If after you tunnel a player and the player ping is still more than 80, you should kick that player. Player with high ping will only make the game lag.

With this simple guide, I really hope there will be lesser noob host(finger crossed) hosting Dota public game. I would like to clarify that I'm not a professional player(in case someone might flame me saying "you think you so pro meh"). I'm just trying to make Dota public games more pleasant for us all because despite years of experience, some people will just never improve and make the same mistake.

Everytime when there's an invitation to a Chinese Wedding, my parents will never take the whole family go. It's clearly stated in the invitation card that says "BRING YOUR FAMILY ALONG" but my parents always never bring me along. -___-

This time, it's not the same! It's my cousin's wedding, hence they have to bring me along. Hehe

Event : Cousin's Wedding (duh)
Venue : Chuan Tin Garden Restaurant, Muar, Johor, Malaysia
Time : 1945 (It was supposed to start at 1900 but you know the Malaysian Time concept, we always start late because there's some guests who think they are the VVIP and make us wait)

It started with a speech and proceeded with a Karaoke session. The karaoke session gotta be the most humorous event ever. You see, most of the people who were on stage belting their hearts out on songs and the audiences were 'ignoring' them. LOL

Now, look at the crowd's reaction. Some just continued eating, drinking beer or just plain chatting. It got even more hillarious when my group was the only who clapped each time someone sang on stage.

What to do, must save their face. lol.

I super heart the Deep Fried Prawn with Salad Sauce. Easily the yummiest food on the table. <33>

I drank 4 glasses of Carlsberg. Initially I thought of just drinking 1 glass will do, but the beer lady kept on pouring more and more into my glass. I think she must be trying to boost up the lagging sales of beer that night. I stopped at the 4th glass for fear I will act like a drunk monkey and ruin the wedding.

Plus, I cringe when I thought what I might do if I'm drunk. Strip dance? Food fight? Saying nasty stuffs about the weddings?

Geez. By the way, my dad thought me and my sister were drinking chinese tea instead of Carlsberg beer because the color looked exactly the same. Hahaha. We got exposed when the beer lady poured more into our glass! She blew our cover! =D

Heck, I even got to bring back some candies as souvenir. 2 marshmallows with cute lion packaging. Awww. (Please bear with me)

I was involved in a car accident 2 days ago. I still have no idea whether I should blog it or not. I shall blog it later.

Today, I received a very special letter... from Mint! It was totally unexpected because Mint didn't tell me she sent the letter already. Sneaky!

On the back of the letter, I found something nice. The Donald Duck sticker was something unexpected. Donald Duck was the 1st Disney character I tried to draw when I was a little boy. I drew pretty good pictures of Donald Duck! My classmates thought it was my mum who drew it. Yes, I was that talented when I was a little boy. Unfortunately, it's been years since I last drew Donald Duck, couldn't be sure whether I still could draw one.

It was a simple card. But it's thoughts that count :)

Today I visited Puff's blog and realised I havent updated for 2 weeks. Not that I have nothing to update but I have been playing Dota and Viwawa too much. -.-

Besides, I am working with KLUE magazine right now. That's gotta explain why every weekend I'm so busy hanging out at cool places like ZOUK? Cool huh? BUT...

I didn't get to meet ANY celebrities or HOT MODELS(females especially). So, don't start flaming me by calling me "you lucky b@st@rd!" The fact that I'm saying because someone has already started flaming me. Poor me. Get flamed for things I didn't get to experience.

Plus, I got a surprise at Jaya One, PJ. Apparently, The ever friendly traffic police officer handed me his Chinese New Year "gift" to me. Instead of 'Kam' (Mandarin oranges), he gave me. . . *mystery music plays*

A PARKING TICKET. swt hor

I parked there because I had an interview with the KLUE magazine that time. How stupid I was. Inevitably, I was too kiamsap(stingy) to pay RM3 for the parking fees and chose to park at the roadside. Woola.

For worst, I never get any tickets before. I started to get worry because I'm going to pay this by myself. I thought it gonna be some exorbitant sum like RM300. Thankfully, the parking ticket costed me RM30.00. Much better without 1 extra digit behind it.

Not 'Ong(auspicious)' bor? If only the fees was like rm8.88 instead of the bloody rm30.00

I did what a good-law abiding citizen will do, pay the ticket. I know it's a petty offense and I think I rather pay it up then waiting for an arrest warrant issued against me. So I went to the Traffic Department in Shah Alam Police Station to pay up. The whole process was done in 10minutes. It was quick. I'm thinking, what if I didn't settle my ticket?

Guide : Photography Skills

This post is inspired by countless of not-so-clear pictures I get for requesting strangers to take pictures for me.

We all love taking pictures as souvenir. But, there's no professional photographers around always when we need them. Hence, we count on strangers to help us. SADLY, most people don't know how to handle a digital camera. They thought it's easy to just click the shuttle button and VOILA! Pictures turned out to be amazing. Most cases, it's otherwise.

Frustrated with some of my beautiful and memorable pictures getting ruined in their hands, I come up with few tips on how to take a clear and sharp photo.

1. ALWAYS remember to focus your shot.
You could do this by pressing the shutter(button that takes pictures) button halfway. Just gently exert pressure on that button till a green box(es) appears in your view. Some people mistook focus as merely making sure that you are in the centre of the picture.

If you miraculously succeed in doing this, you will end up with a sharp and clear picture. Can you imagine the frustration when the pictures turn out blurry? It's like you seeing things without wearing spectacles on.

At least you can save me the agony.

2. USE FLASH
In practically most of the pictures, you have to use flash. As a general rule, just turn on the flash. If you don't know which one is the flash icon, here it is.

Notice the picture on the right with flash, better right?

3. Keep the camera STILL for few seconds after taking picture.
Some digital cameras require time to take picture. Pictures are not taken instantaneously. Thus, you might sometimes find yourself with blurry pictures even though you have followed the 2tips I've given.

Just like this dude who became the victim of blurness. LOL

With these tips in YOUR bag, hopefully blurry pictures won't exist anymore. Don't need to thanks me when the strangers you asked take a good(clear) picture for you .

PORTER!!!

MY DAILY JOB consists of me carrying cartons and cartons of beers from the store to the selling area in JUSCO.

This job is so freaking awesome.

It provides me with a daily exercise.
It provides an avenue for me to train my arms+shoulders muscles
It provides an opportunity for me to see to explore the "STAFF ONLY" area.
It provides me a chance to go around ALL THE JUSCOS and MAXVALUE IN SELANGOR.

but... that was only a partial mere fraction of my job description.
I shall blog about my job next time =) or should I? HAHAHHA.

Umobile Case

I really need to do some updating. What excuse do I have since now I'm having school holidays and got no job at all?

I promise I will write about my uMobile incident. It all started few weeks ago in a merry morning. I was sipping coffee and eating my cakes at my garden(wtf it sounds like I'm some rich dude). Then came the postman who delivered a letter to me with a uMobile logo on it.

Wait a minute... This doesn't sound right. Why would they send me a letter anyway? I got this deja vu going on, thinking it might be a bill statement but I only registered for prepaid.

I ripped open the letter and was astounded by what I read.

WTF, it's written there I owned uMobile RM333.45! Which means I could have eaten Macdonalds for at least 33 times or 15 dozens of J.Co Donuts! But. . .

that could mean I will add another few pounds to my growing weight. Not good either. LOL.

How the heck was I going to pay this HUGE sum of bill and clearly which low life bxxtxrd would take my IC and register postpaid for me?

That dude inccured the charges from calls, smses, mmses and 3G video calls. In 12days, that guy came up with a bill of RM333.45. No wonder fraud cases are so rampant nowadays. These people get free calls, smses, mmses and video calls for FREE at the expenses of others.

In this case, at my expenses. T_T

I called the service centre trying to figure out how to solve this problem. After explaining my situation, the operator said it was a fraud case and I don't have to pay for it.

Steps you gotta do if you are in the same situation as me

1. Make a police report

2. Go to uMobile centre to clarify the case

Or you could just sit back and forget the incident once they tell you they classify your case as fraud. But for the peace of mind, just make a police report. It's free also la for those who are kiamsap(stingy).

What I did was I went to Sunway Pyramid uMobile service centre and sorted out the case. The whole process was simple and it wouldn't take you more than 20minutes.

ALWAYS REGISTER YOUR SIM CARD ONLY AT THEIR RESPECTIVE SERVICE CENTRE

at least you won't fall into the same situation like me. haha
